Bears, Oh My
Driving back from Johnson Canyon, I spotted a small group of cars pulled over and cameras aimed at the far side of the road. Pulling over, I realized they were watching a black bear. So, I grabbed my camera and started clicking away while the bear was attacking a buffalo berry bush. He was oblivious (thankfully) to the plentiful and meatier options just opposite him. There are only 40-50 black bears left in Banff National Park. I feel lucky to have seen him; however, the first thing I’m doing tomorrow is buy bear spray!
